Relic From Ancient Friend (2023) is a painting of the relic from the artist’s previous piece titled Ancient Friend (2023). It is inspired by a relic discovered in the island of Java depicting a scene from the Ramayana. The work is reminiscent of documentations and illustrations of temples and ruins in Southeast Asia during colonial times.
